Betway SA20 Season 4 Final showdown: The key match-ups
After 33 matches of exhilarating action, Betway SA20 Season 4 has reached its climax.
The grand finale is upon us with all roads leading to Newlands on Sunday for the mighty clash between Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
The Sunrisers are hunting a third championship title in four seasons, while the Capitals hope to become only the third team to lift the Betway SA20 trophy.
Finals are customarily decided by which team handles the pressure best and who wins the critical moments in the game. It is also the platform for individuals to put up their name in lights and be the hero for their team.
We look at three match-ups that could define the Betway SA20 Season 4 Final.
MATCH-UPS

Tristan Stubbs vs Keshav Maharaj
This is going to be a contest for the ages. The respective skippers will not only be competing in a battle of wits to outsmart each other in a tactical battle but their duel with bat and ball could potentially be a decider.
Stubbs has played within himself throughout the competition, but like a bubbling volcano is now ready to explode. He will no doubt be looking to leave a marker on the final by targeting his opposite number.
Maharaj, though, is a wily competitor. After being taken down by Jonny Bairstow against the Sunrisers at Centurion, the veteran left-arm spinner has been in sublime form since as the leading wicket-taker for the Capitals with 11 scalps at a miserly economy of rate of 6.62.

Quinton de Kock vs Dewald Brevis
This explosive pair will not face off directly but there are no two individuals who hold their team’s chances in the palm of their hands like De Kock and Brevis.
De Kock has been the talisman for the two-time champions upfront with the southpaw striking 372 runs - the most by anyone in the competition - and could become the first Sunrisers’ batter to score 400 runs in a Betway SA20 season. When he gets moving upfront, the rest of the Sunrisers tend to follow.
In contrast, Brevis has rescued the Capitals from perilous positions throughout the competition, with the most notable being when the top-order slumped to 7/5 at the Wanderers.
Brevis was at his devastating best in Qualifier 1 when he smashed the potent Sunrisers attack to all part of Kingsmead during his unbeaten 75 off 38 balls.
The potent right-hander loves playing at Newlands and will embrace the spotlight of a final.

Lutho Sipamla vs Bryce Parsons
Two unheralded players that have made a big impact in the playoffs for their respective teams. Sipamla was drafted into the Sunrisers side for Qualifier 2 and struck early on when he claimed the big wicket of Paarl Royals’ opener Lhuan-dre Pretorius.
Parsons, meanwhile, delivered the dream all-round performance against the self-same Sunrisers in Q1. He delivered an excellent spell of left-arm spin bowling before taking the attack to the Sunrisers upfront with the bat.
It will certainly be an intriguing battle when they go head-to-head in the Powerplay with both eager to put their team on the front foot.
WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY
Sunrisers Eastern Cape captain Tristan Stubbs:
“You can't look at taking revenge into a final. We both start at 0/0. We'll plan like we do for most games. It's about coming out on the day, you've got to play with an intensity and teams who do the basics pretty well tend to come out on top.”
Pretoria Capitals captain Keshav Maharaj:
“It's going to be an exciting game of cricket, we've got a strong team that's been here four times and we are a new team that's coming through, so it's exciting. Someone that wants it the most will probably finish on top tomorrow.”
